What is Re-pairing?

Re-pairing allows you to reconnect a player to an existing screen profile in CMS — restoring all playlists and settings without having to set everything up from scratch.

When to Use Re-pairing

Re-pairing is useful in any situation where a player has lost its connection to CMS, such as:

  • A player was reset and is no longer recognised by CMS

  • A player was replaced with a new device

  • A player was disconnected for any other reason

⚠️ This feature is only available in Fugo Classic CMS. It is not currently supported in CMS 2.0.

Re-pairng Method 1 — Re-pair from Screen Settings

Use this method if the screen is showing as offline in CMS.

  1. In Fugo CMS, go to Screens

  2. Click on the screen you want to re-pair

  3. In the upper right corner, click the Repair Screen button

Note: The Repair Screen button is only active when the screen is offline. If it is greyed out, the screen is still connected to its profile and does not need to be re-paired.

Re-pairng Method 2 — Re-pair via Add Screen

Use this method during the pairing process to reassign a new player to an existing screen profile.

  1. In Fugo CMS, go to Screens → Add Screen

  2. In the Pair As dropdown (set to New Player by default), select the existing screen profile you want to re-pair to

  3. Complete the pairing process as normal

The player will be reconnected to the selected screen profile, restoring all previously configured playlists and settings.

💡 Not sure which method to use? If the screen is offline in CMS, start with Method 1. If you're setting up a replacement player, use Method 2.
