Tracking your uploads
When you upload files, or import them from a link or a cloud source, Fugo keeps them going while you work. You can move between pages in the CMS and track, retry or cancel each file from one place.
Starting an upload
1. In Media, click Upload. The Upload media window opens on Computer; you can also choose Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or URL.
2. Choose your files with Browse files or Browse folders.
3. Click Add to media library (or Add 3 items to media library when you've chosen several).
The window closes and your files start uploading. You can carry on working, including moving to other pages in the CMS.
Closing the window before you confirm
If you close the Upload media window with files chosen but not yet added, Fugo asks Discard selection? Click Keep selection to go back, or Discard to close without uploading them. Files you've already added keep uploading either way.
Checking upload progress
1. An Uploads row appears at the bottom of the sidebar while files upload, with a progress ring and a count such as Files 2/5 · 40%. On a phone, tap the uploads button instead.
2. Click the row to open the Uploads window. It shows how many files are in progress, with a row for each file.
If any upload fails, the ring and text in the sidebar turn red. When everything is done, the row disappears after a few seconds.
What each status means
Queued: waiting to start.
A percentage, such as 45%: uploading.
Retrying 2/5: Fugo is trying again automatically.
Finishing…: the file has been sent and Fugo is confirming it.
Cancelling…: the upload is being canceled.
Done: the file is in your media library.
Paused · Too many errors: Fugo has stopped retrying.
Couldn't finish · Retry?: the upload stopped before it finished.
Upload failed: the upload didn't work; the reason shows underneath.
Canceling, retrying and dismissing
Each row shows the buttons that apply to it:
Cancel upload: stop a file that's queued, uploading or paused.
Retry upload: try a failed or paused file again, if the original file is still available.
Dismiss: remove a failed file from the list.
Failed files are listed first. When more than one has failed, use Retry all or Dismiss all to act on them together.
Some failures can't be retried, for example Too large to upload. Check the file and upload it again.
If you see Upload finished but isn't visible yet. It will appear shortly., the file has uploaded and will show in Media in a moment.
Closing the browser tab
Uploads run in your browser tab, so closing the tab or the browser stops them. While files are queued or uploading, your browser asks you to confirm before you leave the site.
There's no warning once files reach Finishing…, or for failed or paused files, so check the Uploads window before closing the tab.
For what happens to files after they're uploaded, see Media Overview. For uploading inside a design, see Design Studio Overview.
