The Planner is a full-screen calendar and timeline view of every playlist in your account: when each one plays, which screens it's assigned to, and whether it's currently active, in draft, or complete.

It's especially useful when you want to:

The Planner doesn't store any schedule information of its own - it reads from, and writes back to, the exact same schedules that live on your Playlists page. Anything you see here always reflects what's actually set up in Playlists, and anything you change here updates Playlists immediately, and vice versa.

The Planner is visible to anyone whose role includes permission to view playlists - the same permission that controls access to the Playlists page itself. If you can see and open Playlists, you'll be able to see the Planner too.

Creating a new playlist or adjusting a schedule from the Planner additionally requires permission to edit playlists - again, the same permission that lets you make changes on the Playlists page. There's no separate "Planner" permission of its own for either viewing or editing.

If your role can view but not edit playlists, the Planner behaves the same way it always has: you can browse the calendar and the playlist list, but clicking a scheduled playlist or an empty slot won't do anything. See "Creating and editing schedules from the Planner" below.

From the left-hand sidebar, go to Planner (you'll find it marked with a Beta badge).

This opens a page with three areas: a playlist list on the left, a calendar or timeline on the right, and a toolbar across the top with search, filter, grouping, and view controls.

If your account has no playlists yet, you'll see a message inviting you to create one. Your Planner has nothing to show until at least one playlist exists.

The left-hand panel lists every playlist in your account, grouped by either Status or Screen (see Filtering, grouping, and sorting below). A playlist that's assigned to more than one screen appears once per screen when grouped that way; playlists with no screen assigned yet are grouped under their own "Unassigned" section.

Each playlist appears as a collapsed row showing its name, a colored status dot, and up to two count indicators - how many content items it contains and how many screens it's assigned to.

Click a row to expand it for more detail: a thumbnail preview of its content, a status badge, and a summary of every schedule the playlist has - its mode (see below), and its date range where one applies:

A playlist's status follows the same states used elsewhere in Fugo: Active, Draft, Inactive, or Complete.

The right-hand side of the page shows your playlists' schedules visually, in one of two view modes, switchable from the top of the page:

Use the arrows to move to the previous or next period, or the button beside them to jump back to today (labeled "This month" in Month view):

If a day has more scheduled playlists than fit in the visible space, a "+X more" link lets you see the rest:

In both views, each event represents a playlist's schedule and is labeled with the playlist's name, along with a small icon for the schedule's mode (see "Creating and editing schedules" below for what each mode means) and a count for how many screens it's assigned to.

Toggle Show empty days on to visually distinguish days that have no content scheduled - and, if you have edit permission, to give yourself an obvious empty space to click when you want to start a new playlist there (see below):

The toolbar above the playlist list and calendar gives you a few ways to narrow down what you're looking at. These controls apply to both the playlist list and the calendar/timeline at the same time.

Type into the search box to filter the playlist list down to playlists whose name matches what you've typed:

Open the Filters panel to narrow things down further using any combination of:

Use Clear all to reset every filter back to "All" in one click. (This doesn't clear the separate search box):

Choose whether the playlist list is organized by Status (Active, Draft, Inactive, Complete) or by Screen, whichever makes it easier to scan for what you're looking for.

Sort the playlist list alphabetically by Name, in ascending or descending order.

This is the newest part of the Planner: with edit permission (see "Permissions" above), you can create a new playlist or adjust an existing schedule right from the calendar or timeline, without switching over to the Playlists page.

Three actions are available, described below.

Click any scheduled event on the calendar or timeline - a bar, a chip, whatever the current view is showing - and Fugo opens that playlist's editor directly on its Schedule step, ready for you to adjust dates, times, or recurrence:

Clicking empty space on the grid - a gap between schedules, or a day with nothing on it - doesn't open anything, since there's no playlist there to edit. See the next section for what a click there does instead.

Click an empty area of the calendar or timeline - including an empty day highlighted by Show empty days - and Fugo starts creating a brand-new playlist, with its schedule already pre-filled to the date and time you clicked. The editor opens on the Content step first, since the schedule is already taken care of - add your content, and the playlist is ready to go.

This only works if your role has permission to edit playlists. Without it, clicking an empty slot does nothing.

In the Week or Day calendar views, and the Day or Week timeline views, you can drag the edge of a scheduled event to change when it starts or ends. This is only available in these views because they're the only ones that measure actual clock time - Month and Year views (and the Month timeline view) measure whole days, so there's no time to drag there.

Dragging only changes a schedule's time - moving an event to a different day isn't supported yet.

If the schedule you're resizing repeats (for example, every Monday), Fugo asks how far the change should reach, since a recurring schedule can be a single date's exception or a change to the whole pattern:

If the schedule only ever runs on a single date to begin with, there's nothing to ask - the change is applied directly.

A resize can be turned back if:

The Planner and Playlists share the exact same schedule data - the Planner has no scheduling logic or storage of its own. A schedule you create or change on the Playlists page shows up in Planner automatically, with no extra step, and the reverse is now true too: a schedule you create or adjust from the Planner (see above) shows up on the Playlists page immediately.

What still only happens on the Playlists page: duplicating or deleting a playlist, bulk actions across multiple playlists, and changing anything about a playlist besides its schedule (its content, which screens or screen properties it targets, and so on). Planner's editing is deliberately scoped to schedules - for everything else, head to the Playlists page.

A playlist can now have more than one schedule. For example, a playlist might run continuously most of the year (an "Always on" schedule) and separately play during a single holiday window (a "One-off block"). This is why resizing a recurring event asks whether the change should apply to just that date or the whole pattern, and why there's a 50-schedule limit per playlist.

Not every playlist's schedule can be dragged to a new time. Playlists set up before Fugo's newer scheduling engine show on the calendar as before, but their time can't be changed by dragging - open them on the Playlists page instead. Clicking to open the editor still works the same for these.
